Frasers Papamoa
Frasers urban neighbourhood was a 741 lot infill Greenfield project. TDG provided the detailed neighbourhood transport network design advice. This included evaluating the relative merits of private roads vs public owned corridors.
The project included analysis and geometric design of several new intersections. It involved significant reporting and concluded with the preparation and presentation of expert evidence at both a Council and Environment Court Hearing.
TDG was proactive in providing strategic advice and the supporting detailed assessments to keep the client well informed, and in a sound decision making position. The project involved seven separate neighbourhoods being consented as an integrated project but on a separate entity basis. Consent was granted substantially for the project. Appeals were made to the Environment Court. The courts confirmed the acceptance and validity of the traffic and transportation evidence, however some neighbourhoods were declined due to their height. The applicant was invited to reapply with slightly reduced height structures but retaining the density initially proposed.
