Carmen FreeFlow

Carmen FreeFlow is a state-of-the-art general purpose image recognition software engine for the visual detection, identification and recognition of vehicle license plates. The Carmen FreeFlow Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) software locates the number plate of a vehicle on a digital image, then automatically reads and interprets the plate. The number plate is stored digitally and the system creates a log of vehicle movements with data, time, speed and location.

ANPR is used for: Origin - destination survey; travel time surveys; speed surveys; standard traffic count surveys; parking and duration surveys; security and surveillance; access control and monitoring; car park management.
