Brett Harries

Managing Director

Brett Harries has 30 years experience with Traffic Design Group as a specialist traffic engineer and transportation planner. Brett started his career in Wellington, then in 1990 moved northward to establish the Auckland office of TDG. He became a Director in 1992, and a Managing Director in 2001. Brett has worked for a wide variety of clients, with a particular emphasis on large developments for corporate clients, and infrastructural and institutional developments for public sector clients. A key area of expertise provided by Brett is in the preparation and presentation of expert testimony at Council, Environment Court and Board of Inquiry hearings. He is typically involved in around 20 such hearings each year. Brett has an engineering degree from Auckland University, is a Chartered Professional Engineer, and is a Fellow of both the Institute of Transportation Engineers and the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand.
