Tony Penny

Director, Christchurch

Tony Penny joined Traffic Design Group in 1985 having previously worked for the Christchurch City Council, Howard Humphreys and Partners (UK), the UK Department of Transport and the MVA Consultancy in Hong Kong. He has a wide variety of experience in traffic engineering and transportation planning including managing major transportation planning projects involving mathematical modelling and design of highway networks and passenger handling facilities for bus/rail stations. Tony was appointed a director of TDG in 1998 and was Joint Managing Director from 2001 until 2010. He has degrees from Canterbury University in mathematics and civil engineering, is a Chartered Professional Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Professional Engineers of New Zealand.
